tenncpa--Any CEO who destroys share value, especially one who destroys more than ten years of share value, deserves to be fired.Ortho
Dowd's a little different though. His failure is in his inability to be a leader. He and the people he put in charge have created an environment of fear and pride. He did not agree to a bad merger, he destroyed a good company.Remember, this new company is not regions. It is AmSouth. And by AmSouth standards, this company is doing well...even if it wasn't, no one would admit it. It's cultural.Didn't he replace most of the legacy RF board members? Not likely his buddies will boot him.
