The Least And The Greatest In The Kingdom Of Heaven!

    Yeshua's own words...

    Matthew 5:18-19
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Practice and Teach the commands if you want to be great. Ignore them or set them aside if you do not. The Raven has spaken.

    • JT: Do you and your household keep all 613 commandments of the OT Law and teach others to do the same? What about diet? What about garments? How about burnt offerings?

      • The Raven tries his best, though he is but flesh, blood, bones, feathers, and spirit to keep the commands Yeshua directed believers to keep until everything is accomplished. Study his teachings and the teachings of the Apostles and you will see what was directed to new covenant believers. A good start would be the 10 commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, Baptism, the Epistles, Plus the new command to love one another. if you can show Raven any of the 10 that Yeshua or the Apostles taught believers not to keep then Raven will stand down. If you cannot then Raven will tell the world it must obey for he does not want to be only a sparrow in the Kingdom of Heaven though it does say His eye is on the sparrow. I thank you for your concern about the Raven and his nest. Now go and sin no more (break not G-d's commands) such as Idolatry, Making Idols, Misuse of the Lord's Name, Keep the Sabbath Holy, Honoring Parents, No Murder, No Adultery, No Stealing, No False Testimony, No Coveting. The Holy Spirit will guide you.

        Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

In summary, Raven believes research is struggling with salvation by faith alone versus holiness and sanctification. Notice the specific words of Yeshua, "baptizing them .... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Yes my friend, there are commands the Christian is to obey and to teach to obey. Which ones? Now that is the debate which has been going on for 2,000 plus years. But research4insight should be able to take the suggestions above on where to start and figure it out, he is a smart dude, a little controlling and head strong with a desire to always be right, but still a smart enough dude to know when there is more to learn and understand. The Raven has spaken.

      • no one can keep all 613. No one ever has but it is possible. God has said his laws are not too burdensome. Diet laws? my answer is this, we are to keep them as much as possible, it is extremely difficult to do so by living in a pagan country---this includes the USA. Garments? do you know why that law was implemented? I posted the answer for dby and he just scoffed at it. It comes down to the fact of this: cotton was grown in the irrigated fields of Egypt and wool is gathering from the wonderings of sheep. Egypt had the Nile and strange idols for gods. Israel had the desert, sheep and the true God. The spiritual message was this: do not mix the pagan with the Godly. Do not mix the luxuries and wealth and pleasures of Egypt for the simpler life of seeking obedience to God and his laws of conduct. contrary to christian teaching, God never expected perfection. We were made to honor God. Adam failed. God instituted 3 ways of repentence: animal sacrifice at the Temple; grain offering at the Temple ; OR personal repentance. #1 and #2 are not possible. #3 was, is and will be. Consider this, Daniel while in exile had no Temple to sacrifice for his sins, correct? The Bible said he faced East towards Jerusalem and prayed to his God (my God also) and God heard his prayers. All of his prayers. thanks

    • Raven, when you think about it I am teaching them. They do not want to be taught, that is the problem. If Matt.5:18-19 is correct for the christians to heed and understand and do, then a prudent mind would indeed heed what their saviour has said. Correct? By me rebuking their bible verse quotes and mis meanings, etc. I am actually trying to make them look deeper into their scriptures. Yet they despise me for it., and think me arrogant. I have told them before times,----prove me wrong {if you can} AND I will admit to me misapplying my scripture rebutals in what ever instance I was wrong.
