The last time HSKA was at this price, they were reporting earnings in the range of -.08 to -.12 (2002). While the most recent earnings weren't great (-.03), the 5-year earnings trend is intact and steadily progressing upward. You just have to look at the big picture and not let one quarter guide your decisions.
What earnings trend? You have only two profitable quarters 4-02 and 4-03 in the past 5 years. HSKA looked to be turning things around with profitable segment growth more than compensating for sales losses elsewhere but that fell apart by the middle of 05 (Napolitano was very confidently predicting a break even year and hinting at a possible profit if you remember).
Something bad has happened to the business and with grieve at the helm all you can hope for is a technical bounce.
My guess is the stock will stop falling just short of 50 and recover into the 60s. One last chance to trade it before the pink sheets.
