I plead "guilty" to the amusement charge. I was very against a share buyback or a dividend. I was against the buyback because I didn't feel they had enough cash for it to be meaningful and with buybacks companies don't always "retire" the shares to decrease total outstanding shares. Sometimes they just are held and then sold back into the market at a later date. If I was certain they would retire the shares then a buyback would have been ok. I was against the div because I thought it would be a one-time or irregular div at unpredictable times (ala UVE). I never imagined they would commit to a regular quarterly div. I am still pleasantly surprised they did it!
