    Today's action

Rumour is that loan to wage provision will be 12% rather than 8%. It seems probable since 8% was way to low. The Department of Education isn't out to kill education; whether for profit or not.

I found this article awhile back that says it all about what has been happening with misinformation and probably what will happen for regulations.

    • Patient..., I appreciate the background on this conflict. It just makes more sense that politicians would use this resource ( for profit education) than destroy it. The public sector in education has done an historically good job, but they have limitations. The private, non-profit and for profit have to pick up the slack, and in some cases I think, lead, in order for the needs of many to be met. Good info, Thanks.

    • I just read that the Signal Hill analyst Trace Urdan, who broke the news about the 12% loan to gainful employment wage, also stated that he had heard that staffs of the education committees in the House and Senate were briefed on Sunday and Monday on the new version of the rule.
