The thing is, the government is COCO's meal ticket. Tea Party people and many conservatives want to cut that spending. And Democrats are on the side of not-for-profit institutions. Who on the government's side is excited about for-profit education companies? Panetta is too little too late--he'll pick up his director's paycheck and just say "I tried." I'm surprised that the 19 hedge funds that Insider Monkey says are (were?) holding COCO didn't read the tea--and other--leaves better than they did.
