No reason except general nerves. Also, oil&gas prices were down. People don't seem to grasp the fact that KMP owns what is basically a toll road and they have contracts so the price of crude and natural gas don't affect them. In other words, the guy in the toll booth (KMP) charges the same for a Kia as he does for a Jaguar. Buy on the dips.
I wish I knew. I did note in the analyst call transcript that distributions per unit are expected to increase to $4.40 in 2010 from $4.20 in 2009 and they expect an increase of 5-7% per annum thereafter, down from 15% average growth over the last several years, so there may have been some disappointment in future growth, but with a starting yield of 6-7%, 5-7% wouldn't be too bad from my perspective. If anyone knows what the drop today is related to with more certainty, we're all ears.
