    Will L3 buy this company?

"Implant Sciences Corp. (IMSC.PK): It could be time to start paying attention to the still-obscure Implant Sciences Corp. This company and its technology could be gearing up to start making a splash in the homeland security arena and a recent earnings announcement offered some insight into just how quick the growth could materialize if its lead products start catching on in the mainstream.

The company's Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 benchtop explosives and narcotics trace detector has been operationally deployed to various airports around the United States, Asia and South America since it was introduced earlier this year and is just the type of product that could potentially become a staple in airport security around the globe, once a large contract or two is landed.

While anticipating a ramp-up of QS-B220 sales, earlier-model explosive detectors continue to pick up steam in the law-enforcement arena, as a report from earlier this month demonstrates. A recent extension of the company's line of credit and its maturity might also be an indication that the company is predicting an imminent uptick in demand for its products and services.

Given the rapidly-growing homeland and airport security sectors around the globe, Implant Sciences could be positioning itself for rapid growth. Worth keeping an eye on after last week's earnings report and Friday's seven percent price spike."

    • mplant Sciences' Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 Bench-Top Explosives Trace Detector Achieves ASTM E2520 Certification
Standard Establishes Effectiveness of QS-B220 for Security Screeners and First Responders

WILMINGTON, MA--(Marketwire -02/06/12)- Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC.PK - News) (Pinksheets: IMSC.PK - News), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, announced today that its Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 bench-top explosives trace detector has passed all tests of the ASTM E2520-07 "Standard Practice for Verifying Minimum Acceptable Performance of Trace Explosive Detectors." The test confirms that the QS-B220 performs to the required standards of performance in the detection of trace amounts of explosives including TNT, RDX, and PETN. The tests were conducted by Cambridge Polymer Group, an independent laboratory. ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), is a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of international voluntary consensus standards.

"The QS-B220's validation through this test brings it another step closer to commercial adoption in the US. Non-TSA security screeners and first responders can now purchase and deploy our bench-top explosives and narcotics trace detector in complete confidence that it is an effective technology," stated Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences. "We are confident in the performance of our QS-B220 and anticipate that this is the first of many detection standards around the world to which it will be successfully certified."

The QS-B220 had been engineered to meet the needs of a wide range of security applications. It has recently received CE Certification and is being evaluated by security organizations around the world.

Implant Sciences' Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 Achieves CE Certification

CE Mark Opens Door for Sales of the Benchtop Explosives and Narcotics Trace Detector in Europe and Beyond

WILMINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - Dec 21, 2011) - Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC) (PINKSHEETS: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, announced today that its recently launched Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 benchtop explosives and narcotics trace detector has received CE certification. The CE testing process evaluates the safety and performance of products against the harmonized standards defined by the 27 member nations of the European Union (EU).

"Since nearly all customers in Europe require CE certification, this is a key to opening up the European market for our QS-B220. It will also support our efforts outside of the EU, as buyers in many nations look to CE certification as a guide for quality and safety in their own markets," stated Bruce Bower, Implant Sciences' Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

"This is a significant milestone for Implant Sciences and for our QS-B220. Europe is a substantial market for us, where we have established distribution channels already selling our QS-H150 handheld portable explosives trace detector," stated Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences. "With CE certification, we can immediately leverage these distribution channels to offer our benchtop model. Meeting CE standards also satisfies several requirements mandated by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration."

The QS-B220 benchtop explosives and narcotics trace detector is well suited for a variety of security settings, including high-traffic airports and borders. The system is currently being evaluated by security organizations around the world.
