Re to: fred "Got a kick out the 'Corning watch' title."
That is a title that is his regular article. At least one per week. Local writer, for local audience. Interesting it is not in the Corning paper.
Back about 98 Corning paper published a hatchet job article on GLW and written by "wet behind ears" kid and did not have facts. He was son of GLW high up manager. Did not go over local well. GLW had all the Corning Leader paper machines removed from their property. So Elmira paper is where info is now found. News papers step in do do from time to time just like T. Lott. Better to be quite and thought stupid, then to open one's mouth and eliminate all doubt. (oops, time to shut up)
Re to: msu "Chart - are you having fun this morning??"
Yes and no.
Keeping our 2 3/4 year old grandson overnight and he was up at 5:45 for the day. That is a fun morning. I would have been fine to sleep till maybe 7, but have to take what one can get.
Otherwise, old and slow, and hurt. Getting old is horrible, but well, maybe better than the alternative.
I do no think the market has fully priced in the Dow/Corning issue. Jamie seems a bit conserative about talking about it. I have 11,000 shares and holding long. I still believe we have 90% chance of $12 in two years. For 300%+ in couple years, I can wait. These young folks want their lottery ticket win. I can wait for the good odds.
