Does anyone know? We're seeing a bump because of the iPad 3 I'm assuming but if it's using GG2 then GLW is probably getting a higher margin on the sale. Only thing close I could find was this article.http://touchreviews.net/iphone-5-gorilla-glass-2-ipad-3-smart-case/Also it looks like LCD sales are starting to turn around this quarter so now is the time to jump on this stock if you aren't already.http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20120223PD220.html
From what I hear Gorilla Glass will be used on the Iphone 5 and not the Ipad 3.Long GLW!
Yes it is.
its confirmed? May I see some proof please. I hope so!!!!I only seen articles suggesting.... I am long GLW
They try to be hush hush about it but they'll use Gorilla Glass 2:http://www.thestreet.com/story/11443389/1/everything-you-want-to-know-about-the-ipad-3.html?cm_ven=GOOGLENhttp://money.msn.com/investment-advice/latest.aspx?post=76468cc6-414c-4842-a6ab-f399d9442d2b&_nwpt=1http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/other/display/20120229205345_Corning_Initiates_Volume_Shipments_of_Gorilla_Glass_2.htmlIt been all but said. Apple said they are partnered with Corning and even took credit for some of Cornings jobs.
As if there is any doubt.Lets see, if you are Apple do you use thinner, higher sensistivity, better resolution, scratch resistant Gorilla Glass or go cheap, sh*tty glass? Nice to know the iPhone 5, iPad 3 and the iTV will all be using Gorilla. As the buyback programs continue, the float drops and the EPS skyrockets with all 5 GLW segments kicking *ss!!PPS will triple within 3 years. That gets my heart PUMPING!!!
