I wondering if anyone who follows GLW have a idea of what a good entry point and price would be?
I think not. sounds like they have nothing to do but gab!!
Sentiment: Hold
During BOOOOOSH first recession, 2.64/sh.
Yes but you may have to elbow the TeaTards & Lefties out of the way.
Call me a Demublican/Republicrat/GLW lover...
I believe that IF:
1. Flat screen TV & mobile devices sell well over the next 6 months
2. Telecoms let loose some CAPEX on fiber optic
3. Life sciences continues to grow well
We'll see something near term here!!!
Corning have reinvented themselves many times over the past 100 years through superior R & D & has been the leader in display & communications for decades now.
I expect they'll continue to grow over the next 100 years with periodic stumbles in the biz cycle which will allow accumulation by true believers!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I see 2 thumbs downs but no rebuttal.
Speak up guys (make it intelligent please...)
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Yes, Corning invests in original R&D. Not everything pans out (like the synthetic green lasers). But the company continues to innovate after 161 years. It's cheap on current metrics too.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
An investment adviser or tout named Ian Wyatt is teasing that GLW will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of Apple's newest iDevice and will sell a hundred times more of a key component than for previous devices. I can only assume we are talking about Gorilla Glass and a larger device like AppleTV. He doesn't name GLW in the teaser but who else could be a staid 161 year old company he refers to.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Get in now.
Nice base in place for support through 15.
Nice.....
