They have not had any negative earnings surprises in the past year and there is no reason to start now; so I think they will beat slightly. But what I think will drive the stock up (a little over $13) is the guidance give by the CEO. Moving into the automotive industry (assuming on auto dashboards) is a key accomplishment.
Auto dashboards will increasingly come with interactive screens (GLW) and gadgets underneath the screen. I bet Apple would love to get into that market. And there again is another sound reason for Apple to consider buying Corning. Entrance into the auto market.
