If crude oil is part of global climate change, then it will be self correcting.
We have 80 to 90 years of crude and then it is gone, gone gone.
The tipping point when demand exceeds supply enough to send the world econeomy into a spiral down is 15 to 50 years down the road, depending on oil shale, and world economy in the meantime.
So, then no diesel, gas, propane, no lube oil and grease, no pavement, or plastics and the list goes on and on. Crude is about half energy, and half raw material. No pipe dream of any replacement.
We have lots of energy, just not the raw material of crude. Of course the energy is not convenient for airplanes, trucks, tractors and mining.
And we will be back in the horse and buggy days. Crude got us out of that, and we will just go back.
