There is no such thing as a standing ovation of boo's. It was a standing ovation but perhaps you're blinded by your political preconceptions.
The Economist said: "Mr Obama scored with the Israeli public—and well beyond the confines of the hard-core "peace camp"—principally because he embraced in this speech the Israeli narrative of what has gone wrong in the peace process."
Wolf Blitzer called it: "‘One Of The Most Important An American President’ Has Given On Israel"
The Daily Beast: "Today President Obama made the most passionate, and compassionate, case for Israeli-Palestinian peace any U.S. leader has ever made."
The Daily Beast: "in many ways (although not all) the perfect speech when it comes to Israel".
Fox News: "President Obama received a standing ovation from the crowd when he responded to a protester who began heckling him and shouting during a speech in Jerusalem on Thursday."
Thanks Indie and Snickle. Fox News and other right wing talk personalities predicted that the President's trip to Israel would be a disaster but they were quickly silenced when he delivered what has been called "a seminal speech". You could say that they were left speechless.
