He actually believes in the Great Flood!

JOE BARTON WILL SEE YOUR SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS AND RAISE YOU... THE BIBLE - BuzzFeed: "A Republican Congressman cited the biblical flood as an example of climate change that had not been caused by humans. Texas Rep. Joe Barton made those remarks Wednesday at the Subcommittee on Energy and Power hearing on H.R. 3, the Northern Route Approval Act, a bill that would give Congress the authority approve the Keystone pipeline...Barton [said] he didn't deny the climate was changing, but argued that the change was due to natural causes, as he has in the past...'I would point out that if you're a believer in the Bible, one would have to say the Great Flood is an example of climate change and that certainly wasn't because mankind had overdeveloped hydrocarbon energy.'" • One need not believe in The Bible to know that the flood was real. Take some science classes.

    • Climate Change Consensus Is Virtually Unanimous, Neil Wagner, 12/11/2012

A recent analysis of papers appearing in peer-reviewed science journals shows published scientists to be virtually unanimous in their agreement that human-produced carbon dioxide emissions are a significant cause of global warming.

      [...]

Oberlin College geologist Dr. James L. Powell reviewed 13,950 papers published between January, 1991 and early November, 2012, and found that a mere 24 of them dissented. That's [0.17 percent (not even one fifth-of-one percent)]. 1 out of every 581. Powell further makes the point that those 24 were, on average, the least cited of the papers, saying, "Of one thing we can be certain: had any of these articles presented the magic bullet that falsifies human-caused global warming, that article would be on its way to becoming one of the most-cited in the history of science."
