The IRS Scandal, Another Embarrassment for the GOP.
Poor Republicans. They tried to promote Solyndra and "Fast and Furious," as scandals but got nowhere.
Then they tried Benghazi. They claim that it was "worse than Watergate" but it all falls apart when somebody asks them to describe the so-called misconduct. There is nothing more than interdepartmental squabbling about the wording in a memo. The country is giving it a big MEH.
The IRS scandal is falling apart too. Turns out that IRS Commissioner who was in charge when the scandal began percolating was Doug Shulman, a Bush appointee. That's right Repukes. He was appointed by Republican George W. Bush. That's right - Bush's man.
Now lets get back to important issue. 2014 is coming and we need to defeat as many house Republicans as possible. The Tea Party and rich fat cat influence over Republicans renders them unfit to lead.
Seems that young Mr. Goutah got himself all worked up again. Maybe he's upset that exaggerated Republican expression of outrage are not moving moderate Americans.
Who knows. Maybe he actually believes that the Republicans have found the scandal that they've been longing for. In that case, he;s being forced to experience outrage at the scandal and outrage that the rest of us don't share his outrage.
Vinnie is right that Republicans failed to get much public attention for the Solyndra and Fast & Furious scandals. But that doesn't matter anymore. Because the Republicans aren't the ones who are drawing the public's attention to the IRS scandal and the AP scandal and the Benghazi scandal. The mainstream media are the ones who are promoting these scandals as major news. Which they are.
Vinnie has his pink panties all bunched up, as indicated by his weak and desperate line of reasoning. He is doubtless disturbed by the fact that Obama has lost Chris Matthews. Which is roughly the equivalent of LBJ's losing Walter Cronkite after the Tet Offensive.
