    Quote from muslim lolfe:

    Quote of the Decade:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
    ~
Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006
Pass it on 'til eternity... (It was so nice of him to give us this great quote for posterity!) SO, USE IT!

    • the truth makes this liberal horde squirm. Obama voted NO to increase the debt ceiling but today when the debt is out of control he says YES. Makes on think what is Obama's motive. He also said he was Bipartisan and would cut the deficit in half in 2 years. In fact Obama demonizes those who don't think like he does, even send out the IRS and was caught. He even took the time to demonize the Supreme Court. He has provided no leadership, but demonizes others into submission to the countries demise as the liberal horde howls in approval

    • The Kenyan, with a forged birth certificate, explained why he voted against the raising of the debt limit. It was because Bush, the Decider, refused to include the cost of the two precious Republican wars in the budget. Then, when Barry became the decider, he made shure both wars were included in the budgets, took him 5 years but he fixed all of the Chimp's #$%$ ups. Only problem that I can see is that our fine president didn't ask congress to include a retroactive war sur-tax . This should have been proposed in 2001 by Bush's handler, Cheney , who said "deficits don't matter". Good philosophy for an appointed leader.

    • Here's your problem moron, you only know how to cut and paste and have no grasp of the issues.

When George W Bush took office he was handed a budget that was not only balanced but had a surplus. He drove the country back into the condition where we needed to borrow and raise debt limits.

Of the $6 billion the debt has gone up while Obama has been in office, $5.1 trillion is directly due to Bush policies: a tax cut we couldn't afford, an unfunded Medicare Part D drug plan, two unfunded wars and increases in defense spending that carry over and increases in mandatory spending.

This year, Obama's policies have reduced the projected deficit to about $640 billion, a lot less than the projected trillion dollar deficit that Bush handed him for 2009. I am sure that you have no clue about the government budget but just to reduce your ignorance a tad, the government fiscal year starts Oct 1, so when Obama was sworn in, we were one-third through federal FY 2009

He was right in 2006 and he is right now. What is absurd is that the bozos in the House approved ALL of the spending that is forcing an increase in our debt limit.

I hope all those facts don't cause you to have brain freeze, but I would be surprised if you understood anything I just posted
