    Question please...

    Okay,

Should I go ahead a buy a new "android" phone or wait
    until 4g phones become available?

Secondly, just what are all these "apps" from android
good for? I'm not on facebook, utube, myspace. But I do
want fast internet connection, good voice coverage areas.
Will 4g improve coverage...fewer dead zones, etc?

....and a good cell phone camera/video would come in handy.
The 1.3 megas that most phones have is useless.

    • It depends on the individual situation I guess.

I recently ported a landline from AT&T and went with the Pre as it was readily available.

I nearly returned it as the speakerphone was/is not as clear as it could or should be.

Since I NEVER put the phone up to my ear, this is my no. 1 important feature.

But then Sprint cut the price to $150 and I figured that it was a good deal so I kept it.

I now have two cell lines and I keep the Pre as the compact phone easy to take anywhere.

The web browsing on the Pre is phenomenal.

I can open a bunch of web pages all at the same time and easily access them, displayed as cards.

Be warned, however, that the battery is just about useless.

My phone is dead most of the time.

For my other phone/line due for an upgrade I am looking for a full size machine with a nice big keyboard.

As such the Samsung Moment fills the bill, however, it's completely eclipsed by the Motorola Droid.

Since the Droid is only available on the expensive Verizon network, it's a no go.

Sprint is rolling out 4G phones early next year.

I hope they land the Moto Droid 4G.

Since Moto is usually a Sprint partner and reportedly working on WiMAX I have high hope.
