I don't know why the longs are so upset with BTIG. (Disclosure, I'm long). So BTIG or their clients, most likely had a short position and they posted an "anaylsis" that the company won't produce good numbers. Big Deal, that is their right. It isn't any different than Cramer or GS taking a long position and then pumping the stock. It is just the way the market is played.
It will all come down to how Sprint preforms on the launch of the EVO, and then how the 4g plays out. Plain and simple. If they succeed, then BTIG will be seen for what they are, wrong. If Sprint fails, then BTIG is the lone voice of reason (also include Michael Rollins).
Well...so far today...nothing...no BIG ATTENTION getting ad's on CNBC...a little internet...but where is the BIG SPLASH!!!! The stock is being sold off...I am glad I took 2/3 off last Fri and I am still waiting for re-entry...but maybe that $4.50 will come tomorow...we shall see. Cheers
i don't think you are correct. a licensed advisor analyst has a reponsibility to advise in good faith...so you cannot just say its ok for him to do this with a specific client or action in mind. but i would bet the SEC will take a look...there is a new sheriff in town.
