I would assume if Apple is definitely looking to fend off the Android charge (and considering the rumors are circulating about ABDE & Microsoft) and is introducing a CDMA Iphone to VZ - it would follow that Sprint - even before an announcement - would rise. After all if going with 2 carriers why not all 3 and saturate the market as much as possible. Thoughts?
one other: looks like the Adobe/Microsoft thing is moot, however, Microsoft really needs to simply get out of the mobile market. They simply AREN'T a player there - which is readily evident. Don't believe there're any smartphones running Windows 7 Mobile and even if there are, no one cares. They are doing something over in Eurasia, but that initiative is limited to that particular foreign market. Also, look what happened to Microsoft's Kin One and Kin Two semi-smartphones: failed miserably and yanked off the market before two months had elapsed (in other words, about as big an impact on the market as Palm Pre! Meaning, "can't even give 'em away for free!")
NOTHING positive that happens at Verizon will do anything other than negatively impact Sprint. And, yes, Android OS phones ARE dominating the market, but I doubt that's a real concern for Apple. They can sell every one that can be produced and I expect that they'll have millions of pre-orders, prepaid orders, etc., after they run out of stock within hours after VZ starts selling 'em - just like for the previous models from the network EVERYONE hated - ATT!
