    $600 million buy's TD-LTE at 90mhz via CLWR...

Comment #1: Clwr's 2.5ghz spectrum has inferior propagation characteristics (object penetration ability, larry) and thus needs more cell-site density. That's fine in metro areas (where CLWR is deployed) where cell radius has to be small anyway just to handle per-cell capacity constraints so as VZ and AT&T networks fill up, they'll end up being just as densely dispursed in metro areas as CLWR's are anyway... and the 2.5ghz disadvantage disappears.

Most build-out plans involving 2.5ghz spectrum envision using lower frequencies in rural areas for large cell radius. China mobile has commented as such even though their primary standard is 2.5ghz.

Comment #2: CLWR's contract with sprint is about half what you state for wholesale WiMax access. Yes, sprint's N.V. project is for all infrastructure that includes LTE as you state but that is mitigatede by the fact that CLWR's infrastructure is already AT N.V. standards and only needs to overlay TD-LTE to achieve everything sprint would need.

Comment #3: Why are you arguing WiMax... the speed argument is Sprint's N.V. plans for FD-LTE on 10 to 20mhz paired channels VS Clearwire's TD-LTE on unpaired, 40mhz (20x20) channels with sufficient spectrum to operate multiple channels. Clearwire achieved 90+mhz speeds on a live but un-loaded Phoenix test network and improved on that on a Swedish network in conjunction with Ericcson to achieve speeds well over 100mhz. What Sprint is proposing to do on it's own would mimic VZ's network on skinnier channels that wouldn't even match VZ's speeds...

... and it would launch 1.5 to 3 years AFTER Verizon grows it's service into a dominant position.
