FCC says LightSquared will not work with GPS

    ... it was a "win-win" proposition.

If the deal actually happened, he'd get funding, shared use of NV infrastructure, and favorable use of L2's wholesale service. If it didn't, Sprint gets some concessions... like spectrum... that have value.

Problem was, it was an extremely WEAK win-win... it was a "hail-mary" by Falcone in a rather desparate attempt at momentum and legitamacy since Lightsquared investors (mostly via harbinger) were clamboring to get out and GPS was taking over.

Bottom line: Because Dangerous Dan Hesse pursued this boondoggle, he wasted valuable time and he trashed his best collaboration option for 4 solid months. Verizon added 35 million more POPs to their LTE network while Dan was screwing around with the Lightsquared "experiment" and WE CAN'T WASTE TIME LIKE THAT...

... if they had started overlaying LTE-Advanced on Clearwire's network last February like they should have, they'd be firing up TD-LTE running at 100 megabit speeds RIGHT NOW and grabbing business from Verizon.

Dangerous Dan is ANYTHING but action-oriented... Sprint needs a different CEO.
