T-Mobile Has $4 billion New Cash to Play With...

... what do you suppose they're going to do with it.

Of all the national carriers, T-Mobile is running out of spectrum the fastest of any of the 4 carriers... especially in the most densely-populated metropolitan areas...

... they truly need to partner with someone that can offer the best solution to that problem.

    • T-Mobile will receive $3B in cash and $1B worth of spectrum from AT&T. The 2 will sign a new roaming agreement.

    • SPOK, the FCC would never allow CLWR to sell spectrum...EVER...Be smarter..The FCC will dole it out and won't let anyone interfer with the price they will fetch...If CLWR attempts to sell it they will just enact the SUBSTANCIAL SERVICE DEADLINE aqnd yank it from the entities leasing it to CLWR...

Did you wonder why there were no nibbles when CLWR tried selling it earlier this year...

      • ... as both sprint and Clearwire have placed it near the bottom of the queue in terms of options to consider for raising capital...

... which is why they were willing to dilute to the tune of $2 a share in their IPO before considering a spectrum sale.

I don't think the average investor has a very good perception of just how valuable Clearwire's spectrum is going to be once LTE-Advanced is ready to deploy in 2013. No advance in protocol technology that we've ever seen so far, historically speaking, has added as much value and strategic advantage to large spectrum holdings as LTE-Advance will provide.
