With Softbank's money behind them now and twice the bandwidth of Verizon or AT&T from Clearwire it is Sprint's to lose if it fails to take the ball and run with it. It might take a couple of years but long term this stock is cheap at this price. Those of us who can buy and hold for that long term sure win will come out big time ahead.
Would not sell right after earnings. Stock will continue to meander downwards or stay in a narrow trading range till earnings, earnings will be weak. Wild card is whether Son will paint a compelling vision and more importantly when the street will bake in the benefits of the merger which will be a couple of quarters down the road. But the street may anticipate those benefits earlier and put them into the pps. That is the wild card, all the rest is obvious except to those who keep saying the pps won't go below 6 or 7. I bought more at 5.70 when my drop dead low of 5.60 held and may buy more if the price goes below 5.70, but it does look like my low of 5.60 will hold, if barely at 5.61, unless the street decides not to bake in the earnings benefits for a while.
We have just as good a chance for a dip after earnings then we do a pop and I'm betting a dip but it's pure speculation. WE are in downtrend now and that has not changed....I am waiting to add after earnings so please everyone sell so it drops even more. GL
