Let's say the Service Department told you they
would be there at 2:00 pm, but their 1:00 appointment
was 10 minutes late getting home to let them in the
house and they did not move any dirty laundry out of
the way for the tech to get to the dryer. All of this
takes an extra 20 minutes. Then the drive to your home
is takes extra time due to an accident on the
highway and now they are terribly late getting to your
home. Would you be upset? That is why it is sometimes
hard to tell customers a time (and they don't have
cell phones and I don't work for Service). We all have

if they promised you they would be there.

Sears, Roebuck and Co. last split its stock on
July 15, 1977 (2 for 1 split). Management views the
stock's current trading range (i.e., $50ish - $60ish per
share)as a balanced opportunity for both our institutional
and individual investor.
Splitting a stock is
like cutting a large pepporoni pizza. The size of the
pizza doesn't change whether you slice it into 8 pieces
or into 6 pieces. Likewise, the underlying assets of
Sears don't change whether you have 390 million common
shares outstanding or 780 shares outstanding. Buzzz_1962
