ok zombie is always tying to learn how market manipulation works. so lets get to the question.........
lets say an investor has 1 million shares of xyz company worth $1.00 per share. he also has 1 million in cash. so he puts a sell order in for X amount of shares at $1.10. he knows nobody is going to buy this because the company xyz has proven to be a bad investment so he takes his cash and starts to purchase more shares at it in little chunks @ $1.10 showing a run-up. then other bewildered investors start to see a 10% increase in the share price thinking it is going to shoot to the moon. they then buy this xyz stock and it keeps running up higher and higher. in the meantime the investor with the million in shares now starts to sell this xyz company as it continues to go higher and buys little 100 share increments to make it go higher.
so the bottom line is does this happen in today's market with individual investors and institutional investors??? is this legal to do???
thanks for your reply's in advance cuz Zombie really appreciates it!!!!
ok lets now say xyz company has 2Million shares at .33 and does the same thing. then lets say they run this up to .36 bringing all the bewildered investors along shouting "All-Aboard"! then the next day they sell it off after they caught these investors in a trap like a wedgie up the crack of a sandy selling it for .35c.
