Can Anyone go to the Meeting?

If you're a shareholder you should receive notice of the meeting and how to make travel arrangements from Berkshire, through your broker

    • If you really want to go you should make a reservation in late 2008.

We made our reservations in Feb '08 for this years meeting and had to settle for a Days Inn in Council Bluffs Iowa. It wasn't too far from the meeting, but we could only get a smoking room and the place was in the truckstop and casino district.

It isn't the best place to stay.

If you're not a shareholder you can buy tickets directly from BRK on eBay. This year they sold them for $5 + $3 shipping.

If you go there with an open mind you won't be disappointed.
If you go there wanting stock tips then you will be disappointed.

      • Thanks for all the good responses and tips, Everyone. I have been following Warren Buffett for many, many years now. My wife and I wanted to see him and Bunger speak before they get older. Every year then would repeat the same information over and over again at the Annual Meeting. But there will always be 1 or 2 things you can take away from every meeting. Good night, everyone.
