Theme of this year's Annual Report?

    Any guesses? HNZ?

    • Another possible topic aside from the HNZ takeover will be the hunt for the elusive elephant but now we're not necessarily hunting alone.

    • I am a Buffet fan but I do have to admit that the lack of specifics regarding a succession plan, and the disclosure that one of the most senior managers chosen to replnt issue BH faces at this time. Warren simply has to show us that he understands this is no longer "his" comace Buffett does not even know that he/she has been picked is frankly disturbing at best. i see no logical reason to be keeping the succession issue in any way opaque, particularly since it is the single most importapany, but "a" company that must be run just like any other when it comes to succession planning.

      Sentiment: Buy

      • APOLOGIES, should have read: I am a Buffet fan but I do have to admit that the lack of specifics regarding a succession plan, and the disclosure last year that one of the most senior managers chosen to replace Warren is unaware that he/she is "it" is frankly disturbing. Why not?

The single bigest issue BH faces at this time is succession planning. Warren simply has to show us shareholders that he understands this BH is no longer "his" company. i see no logical reason to be keeping the succession issue in any way opaque.

    • Optimism about US economy, in spite of many many naysayers. Probably a hint that he is letting his staff/ team perform more stock buying decisions. Folksy as usual and most of all, emphasize smooth transition in case he is unable to continue due to disease or death.
