Although a great gig for our Brk - I think it is clear that Buffett had somewhat higher expectations. Remembering his comments RE the warrants "That's where we'll make the real money"..........I think he had higher hopes than 1.4B. Actually made more money on the yield and term fees. The big difference being that we had to put up zero capital over the 5 yr period. Pretty good ROE, lol.
If these shares were converted today, 43.5 million warrants are exercisable at 115/sh, which equals a current gain of 32 times 43.5 million or about $1.4 billion worth of shares at current prices. But we/BRK, will only convert the profit we have in the stock which will be determined over the last 10 days of of trading in October when the warrants/option expires. Therefore the total number of shares we end up with will be based on the gain we have in our options/warrants because we'll use our profits to buy the stock.
