We're About to Lose Net Neutrality - And the Internet As We Know It
"Net neutrality is a dead man walking. The execution date isn't set, but it could be days, or months (at best). And since net neutrality is the principle forbidding huge telecommunications companies from treating users, websites, or apps differently - say, by letting some work better than others over their pipes - the dead man walking isn't some abstract or far-removed principle just for wonks: It affects the internet as we all know it."
To find the article, google, "About to Lose Net Neutrality".
We're from the government and we're here to help!! Something tells me the big players will team up with big government (aka duh eKKsperts in regulating stuff) and result in CONsumers having to pay more for what they already have today with less privacy, protections and service. The NSA will no doubt add their own list of mandatory requirements to the mix just to make sure everyone is "safe and protected". Ahhh, they're such nice guys!! They'll call it a CONpromise and a win for Duh CONsumers. Call me naive, but I think that's where we're heading. What's duh bet both political parties are on the same page on this one????? 200 More Years!!!!!
Missed, the Net for sure will undergo dramatic changes, propelled by the NSA leaks - Look at what other countries are proposing to do as a result. History and decisions are not just made here. You need to look outside the window more :-)
