    New Boss

......" been trying to talk my new boss into
picking up a few B's"....Here was my experiance for what
    it's worth.....Years ago a co-worker asked me what
stocks I owned....I mentioned one that had done well for
me.....later, unbeknownst to me the guy went out and bought
some.....next thing I know, he comes up to me and says..."Hey,
that stock went down and I'm losing money"...like it's
MY fault or something........after that I made it a
rule not to talk specifics about stock on the job...if
you tout a stock and it goes up, nobody will thank
you; and if it goes down you'll get
blamed.......that's just the nature of the human condition......the
    beat goes on.....

Yeah... I had a similar experience. I found a company
with strong fundamentals, was in business for 100
years, brand name and was beaten down due to fear. A
friend of mine who was just starting out asked me what I
thought was a good pick. I told him about a stock that I
bought a shit load of... ($50k) This was my version of
Chrysler! It was going to put me on easy streat... He went
and bought a bunch of shares and the company suddenly
reports accounting irregularities and then immediately
      goes bankrupt!

      Wow! His first investing
experience and he lost it all!!!! I felt bad, even though he
didn't place any blame on me... oh well, at least I ate
      my cooking!

Truer words have never been spoken!

      I NEVER talk
about which stocks I own, but for another reason. I
think that talking about it makes my investment
decisions worse, not better. If I talk about specifics, I
might be afraid to buy a stock because others would say
      "what a dog you bought".
