Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Message Board

  • bbcinvestments bbcinvestments Feb 10, 2000 4:19 PM Flag

What unBuffettish Move to comment. Why

would BRK care if rumors drive prices down. They
can buy the stock cheaper when they decide to do it.
If idiots will listen to these message boards and
sell; well we don't want them as partners anyway. I
LOVE BRK's stock to drop. Every drop is an
opportunity. I just want you scary cats to sell to me. Call me
selfish but if you are listening to people like me on
rumors then you don't belong to this game. Turn off
Yahoo Turn off CNBC and turn on some common
    sence.

Good Luck Buyers because you don't needed at these
    prices.

      • ...."appropriate to comment on rumors relating to
        health;
stupid to comment on rumors relating to share
        buyback"...........well, rumor control is a toughie sometimes........there
used to be a Senator from Iowa named Jepsen who was
rumored to be the dumbest man in the United States
Senate........he got wind of the rumor, called a press conference,
and stated that indeed he was NOT the dumbest man in
the Senate....and that there were plenty of others
dumber than him!.....that ole beat jus' keeps goin'
        on......Bobo

      • logically, it would seem that, if there are 2 substantial rumors floating, to deny only one of them might be interpreted to constitute an implicit affirmation of the undenied rumor. JMO.
