    Bought more BYD shares

Within the last 30 mins., I bought another 1,000 shares of BYD. I paid in the high $16.70s.

The Barron's article grossly underestimated both the eventual success of the Borgata, and the ability of the Borgata to significantly grow the AC market.

You are right about that. In addition, another group of people who really like Atlantic City are white collar criminals. It is a great way to launder money or to at least make the money trail very confusing to investigators. I once worked with someone who was stealing millions. I was not. When they finally caught him, he told the authorities that they could put him in jail but he could not return any money. He had lost it in Atlantic City. Casino records supported the fact that he was a very, very good customer<<.

I'm now glad that we've established the fact that the BORGATA will be the place that welcomes WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS and other thugs from our society. There is nothing like having a business that welcomes criminals and really tries to make them feel at home. Remember, if you've been successful at stealing and ripping off people there is always a place to go that will make you feel at home, boy, you've got it made. Just bring your satchel of ill-gotten gains to the BORGATA AND THEY WILL ACCOMMODATE YOU. Now I know how the system works, boy, what a day.

    • <And don't worry about the economy, didn't someone tell you about the "underground economy"? Shhh... yes lletsgo, there are millions of people doing quite well out there, with money to blow, they get paid in cash or own their own businesses and are not affected by the cyclical nature of the worst economy in 60 years>

    • Hey look...its our favorite "HIGH-ROLLER" lletsgo! How're you doing my friend? I see you're still not sure about our favorite stock, BYD. Well, let me re-assure you that as cold as it gets in the winter-time (even in the Northeast), the gamblers will still come to gamble at the Borgata! And don't worry about the economy, didn't someone tell you about the "underground economy"? Shhh... yes lletsgo, there are millions of people doing quite well out there, with money to blow, they get paid in cash or own their own businesses and are not affected by the cyclical nature of the worst economy in 60 years. As for that low-life "the Donald", I say bankruptcy is too good for him! Now you've gone and done it, just the very mention of his name makes me feel like puking:-(

    • and rah, rahism the BYD stock is 28 cents below its price on 7-3-2000, the opening date of the Borgata. You would think that with a new billion dollar building the price of BYD stock would be at least a few bucks above the price on 7-3-2003. What went wrong? Did the Pa. story hurt?
What do the big money men see that the general public seems not to see? Summer has another six weeks to run and then comes the Fall season and then the COLD, COLD ICY NORTHEAST WINTER. The unemployment rate is the highest in recent years and the housing price bubble is going to break shortly. When the real estate bubble bursts it will make the dot.com downturn look like childsplay. Millions of people will lose their homes and the banks will go bust and the stock market will really tank. People are now living from week to week and the first little rut in the road will devastate them. Even though interest rates are low and people have refinanced they have also borrowed more against the value of their homes. People are deeper in debt then ever. Industry is finding ways to outsource work that was always done in this country...thank the computer for that. The middle class will soon be destroyed. The national debt is higher then ever before. The reason states like Pa are going for slots is that there just isn't any other way out of the fix they find themselves. Don't you think that other states will very soon follow? Pretty soon most of the states will have slots and other forms of gambling and the uniqueness of AC and Vegas will vanish like the wind through the trees. Slots places will be as common fast food restaurants. AC will be a ghost town in the winter months and in the summer months it might make a dime or two. Even now the DJT casinos are deeply in debt...how much moreso when Pa. gets rolling? THE TOLL HAS SOUNDED BUT IS ANYBODY LISTENING?

    • In response to Dowwatch:
I rest my case....A fool and his money soon DEPART.
      This man is a fool.

    • Now, now, getting testy. You were only off 1.8% today. You can't be that margined. Are the markers hitting the same time the call is? You can always close your position and head to CT. Surely you haven't used all your credit there. By the way, how is it you are so familiar with ADD? Perhaps a ghost in your past.

    • Dow,I think you should have a new handle while posting ADD Boy
Are you sure as to what my position is as of right now ADD Boy
Heard they ahve a new toilet tissue at the B today. Go check the thickness and report back please.

    • Actually, given the way you are trading the stock your advise is a little misguided. I think you meant to say "sell high and buy low".

I am glad to hear you made so many friends. Now here is my advise. Make your friends in the community. Friends in the gambling world will last as long as your money does. Find a nice tavern, club or other social activity. There are lots of nice people out there who don't invite you in so they can take your money. By the way, keep selling Boyd short and you will not have any money nor friends.

      Good Luck

    • Dow. I will reply to your previous post, but I do believe that you suffer from ADD.
I never said that the two casinos in CT can compare to Las Vegas. What I was saying is that the two casinos can compare to any vegas PROPERTY.
As for Tom is your friend and you trust him to saying you know they are trying to take your money. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY???
If it is that casinos are not your friend, that is what I believe you are trying to say. I agree with the fact that casinos are not your friend. They are a business. There business is to take every last dollar out of your pocket when you enter the casino. However that wont happen in my case. When I do go to a casino, it is a property that I enjoy. I feel comfortable in. And yes, believe it are not you can make friends with the staff there. It is not that hard. They are not all vultures.
You say if I am so negative on the Co/and or management then why are you bothering with this board?
Why not. When I was loading up on this stock before you even new they dug a hole in AC, I was negative on it also. However I smelt a dollar to be made and I took full advantage of it. This board is not for pumpers alone. It is also for the dumpers,
You say, perhaps you are short (you think) or invested in puts (negative)
You say that may be a reason to misguide US, whoever us would be. I am assuming you a reffering to you. Tell me one post, just one that has been posted to misguide you are that is false.
As for PPE's earnings next week, I look foward to it.
And a word of advise to you DOW, buy low sell high.
