In the Sept. 7th issue of Business Week magazine an article on home appliances quotes Electrolux Chief Executive Hans Straberg as saying Electrolux is readying aggressive marketing programs. Whirlpool will either have to match these or lose market share. In either case this can't be good for upcoming earnings. I hope they choose to match rather than give up market share. Though not everyone will buy the same brand of appliance when they eventually relace, many will because they don't like different brands of appliances in their kitchen.
