    London & Zurich...

What POSSIBLE motives would Dendreon have in presenting overseas if their sole focus was to get FDA approval next year?

If their only agenda now was to just finish the trial(s), give the FDA what they requested, & then (hopefully) get approved...? Why even bother booking the plane tix to go overseas?

Can anyone provide some insight into the ultimate "strategy"?
    What's the goal here?

I'd like answers from the Bash crew on this one...
I already know what their responses will be, but I'd enjoy reading them nonetheless...

    • ML found an european partner?? DNDN is selling rights for EU distribution??

      waiting for excellent news !!

    • Having been a shareholder of DNDN for three years I would bet its just a boondogle paid for by the company(shareholders). Nice work if you can get it.

    • It's called a vacation that you can write off. I go to places all the time and barely even attend the event but it makes a nice tax write off.

First, this in never anyones sole agenda. When you are this small and need to stay afloat, you need to pump your company and technology anyway available. So Gold is doing this. Gold would not go to somebody elses home turf to strike a deal. Deals like these take months to negotiate term sheets. Term sheets are only developed after months of serious Due Dil. That means hours in Seatle and NJ. Plus they would have to learn the manufacturing technology. This will not be a sales force only deal.

To be seen, and to be heard. To give an update. But they are in no hurry to strike a deal. After approval, they will be in the drivers seat. Right now, they do not have much negotiating power because they can only sell hopes of an approval. Most ROW partners happen after an approval unless they are seeking EU approval first... In this case, they are not.

      What's the goal here?
Small talk, get the landscape, shake some trees, and let every believe that the glass is half full.

That is it. Plus, Gold needs to be out pounding the pavement. There is nothing he can add to the clinicals. He is basically the leader of the BD department, and he needs to be seen as much as possible in the next 2-4 years.

    • I was thinking the same thing today. DNDN put up with BAC talking about how they were going to have money problems even though DNDN knew they were a few days away from 75 mil in their bank acount. I think the Europe thing is just publicity and aquainting the public with Provenge. I bet a partner has all ready been found. The avenue for finding one is not a public announement at a investor conference

    • These were what are called "investor" conferences. I think an investor conference is pretty self explanatory.

Agenda: Get investors to buy the stock.

Not me... I'm waiting for the 2's. Sorry, not bashing. Just don't like the company with it's insider selling, among a few other things.
