I was asking a reasonable question to which you obviously have no answer for. Looking through rose colored glasses can negatively affect your pocket. You obviously married your stock certificates, I'll continue to seek some sort of rational answers to my question.
What concerns me a little is why are they advertising so ealry when the demand was supposedly so strong? You people can 1 star this post you want but some rational answers would be appreciated. I am very long but confused as to why they are pushing their advertising so hard?
The demand for Provenge immediately after FDA approval cannot be met because NJ plant is only operating at 25%, hence there is more demand than supply. Now that NJ plant is FDA approved to operate at 100% capacity, I think they have to do some advertising to 'spread' the word to stimulate sales and demand. Plus advertising also enhances brand recognition and create awareness to all concerns.
Haven't you seen commercials of major drug co. such as Pfizer's Celebrex, Amgen's Embrel and host of other drugs that blankets the air waves on tv and radio?
I have a marketing background in 'start-up' and I actually like the approach. I do not think it shows desperation in any way but more a way to encourage patients to approach their doctors about the treatment. I am also long on DNDN and see this as part of the natural awareness building....
