    Why prescribe zytiga when you can prescribe two generics. zytiga is nothing new just tossing in a steroid(horrible side effects) might as well just get Provenge with a 12.7 month survival advantage and zero side effects!

    • No, there are a few types of drugs that affect androgens... those that block production (chemical castration), those that block uptake (systemic castration) and those that do both. Either way, the drugs deny all cells in the body androgens (such as testosterone). It starves cancer cells of the hormones that promote growth. Unfortunately, it also starves the rest of the body the same thing.
