PiperJaffray, aka University of Phoenix alumni association, called out in Barrons
Bill Alpert calls out PiperJaffray analyst's recommendation on AthenaHealth -
"But all year, the financial models of bulls like PiperJaffray's Sean Wieland were clearly applying a 30% growth expectation to their forecasts for athenahealth revenue, not bookings. Bush, Adams, and another executive sold more than $6 million worth of stock in October, as Wieland and other analysts raised their athenahealth price targets to as high as $180. Wieland lowered his target to $170 after Thursday's meeting, while sticking to his Overweight recommendation. The company waited until last week to tell Wall Street it was applying the 30% growth rate to the wrong number."
Still taking investment recommendations from Sean Wieland? Good luck.
