Very disappointing what she has/hasn't done. The main component of HEI - the utility side HECO, needs a clean sweep of the management with new blood. The banking side is strictly small time and the margins are drying up. This company is a DOG!
If she lets those earnings fall everyone should get a shot at slapping that flabby keyster of hers.
If earnings fall below the dividend there is not much defending keeping the dividend where it is.
She probably needs to be replaced with some real talent from America.
Time to meet Connie at the annual meeting down town at 9:30am.
Bring a big paddle.
She needs more than a few smacks to straighten out her thinking on outrageos salary packages with poor to dismal results.
Also, everyone attending should try to get some actual verbal comments out of any or all of the directors.
Ask them just what were they thinking when the put Connie in charge of a power company.
The shareholders should be the approver of such overly generous compensation packages.
How much more will she rip the shareholders off for?
I could lend a hand at the spanking job.
Would be allday job.
Not everything should be put to a shareholder vote. 100% of the blame belongs to HE's Board as they had to approve her compensation package.
The Market has a way of responding - let it 'spank her bottom'.
If you approve and the recent HE numbers look good to you: buy. If you disapprove: sell.
