050 P3 update
Lilly announced this morning that start of P3 is imminent. They will also be doing an investor conference at early November conference. Look for a slow and gradual move up into earnings and the conference next weekend. All of this in IMHO...

please tell me how this presentation will be different than what lilly gave at EULAR? I am not trying to give you a hard time, maddison, just see this as a non event, and would like to know WHY you feel it is so important

Easy answer is EULAR was 3 month data and presentation next week will be 6 month data. This was discussed on the earning conference call. INCY and LLY are doing a joint investor presentation at conference as well....IMHO they are doing this for a good reason.....you can guess at what they will present....Sentiment: Strong Buy

maddi; LLY CEO was on TV mentioning about soon to start phase 3 050 testing with INCY...this is sure thing but why very little excitment by retail investors ....puzzles me lot.

Retail investors are an insignificant fraction of INCY holders. I think institutional MMs are reluctant to risk increasing their exposure before a CC which might imaginably be another disaster (better to miss an opportunity than to look ridiculous). The clumsy lowballing certainly won't be repeated in the next call, and I'm sure speakers will be rehearsed on how to manage any possible leaks about the deep pipeline.....HOWever: the most likely substance of the call wouldn't be dramatic enough to cause a stampede into INCY. Basically, one way or another it is likely to be reported as sales and earnings meeting forecasts. We MAY hear slightly more upbeat talk about next year than we have in the past, but a new top drug seller is kind of expected to do that.
I'd figure that a good CC is worth about $2 on stock price in recovering from the bad one (as I've guesstimated elsewhere, I think the bad CC is costing us $10 a share) -
puzzles me as well....maybe waiting for the "official" announcement...
