The street expected 15 cents per share, they just made 12 cents - 3 cents (!!!) less than expected. Will this cause a big crash of the stock price - or is it not so important because of the sharp rise of revenue? What do you think is more important for the analysts - the earnings right now or the future prospects of the company. I'm long and I'll keep this stock no matter what will happen. Nevertheless I'm very concerned and surprised that nobody posts. Come on fellow shareholders, let's talk about these numbers!
...today announced that, excluding a charge of $1.1 million after tax, related to the acquisition of Synteni, Inc., Incyte's net income was $4.6 million or $0.16 per share for the quarter ended March 31, 1998. Reported results including the charge were net income of $3.6 million or $0.12 per share for the quarter ended March 31, 1998, compared to $0.5 million or $0.02 per share for the same period in 1997.
Was the 15 cent expectation with or without the charge ?
