Maybe HPY is not so ethical after all. A lawsuit has been filed (11/15) in Ohio alleging the company underpays reps to boost earnings, falsifies W-2s and W-3s to reduce taxes, defames and intimidates employees to keep them quiet, tampers with evidence and obstructs justice.
Here is the link to the suit on the Ohio court website. Check out pages 9-11 for a summary.

Anyone know anything more about this???
frivolous lawuit. No merit.
Nothing to worry about.
HPY will continue its march to fair value.
every stock i buy gets sued now, its the bongo lawer liberal money lottery mentality. This thing is a machine!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
After reading the Schedule A and reading the "fire the emp.s who made racial discrimin. claims" and the "Target on your back" comment; WELLLLLL...
I would place my bets on the jury. If I were a plaintiff's atty and even a bit of smoke of this was true, OUCH$$$ HPY.
Anyone know how many reps or staff folks are adding their names to the plaintiff's side of this trainwreck?
I'm a former long term employee. I believe the suit is well founded. This is a class action waiting to happen!
Wow. Don't know if it's true or not but if it is true then it will be very bad for Heartland. Wait for the jury to decide before making any judgment.
Unfotunately, I believe there is a bit of truth. This suit is coming from the former long term Director of Human Resources. She was terminated after looking into systematic pay issues for the company's sales force. Do your own DD but looks like a situation that could certainly snowball into a much uglier situation.
Knowing a bit...I say it is all bull smit!!!!
