    • Who are you kidding? Auto glass is in the tank
because the players in that market allow it. State Farm,
Allstate and other insurance companies have played the
auto glass industry with the skill of a master
      violinist!!

It is time for the auto glass industry to stop
operating under the "If I don't accept the insurance
company offer someone else will" mentality. Your
competitor is setting YOUR selling price.

      Stop the
"We'll make it up with volume" approach. It has not
worked. It will not work. Time to "Right Size" this
      segment.

      • Did the problems at Auto Glass just pop up over
night, or did Deckman just walk in the door and find
that the fox was eyeing the chicken coop? Seems
strange that things were just fine there until Deckman
got involved in snooping around. One thing that is
obvious to me is that the person or group set the
original earnings estimate should be sent packing by the
shareholders. As far as Deckman going in and cleaning house, it
will take him at least two years to get back to
        previous levels.
