Does anyone actually have the Cantor analyst report
yes, these boards are watched. proof, about 5-6 years ago, i was long SINA from $5 to $45...rode her all the way, several thousand shares.
when ER was released, they crushed numbers, the stock takes off 2 points upward, and starts grabbing another gear.
suddenly somebody on the SINA board posts a link that showed an official looking document from GoldMAN sACHS.
it was a down grade, the comments were thet SINA might be over priced for forward guidance/
the stock droped like a rock immmediatly, somebody on the SINA board EMAILED CNBC and they aired the story, first they called Goldman to see if it was their report, GS denied it, itw as a forgery, and CNBC aired that story for three days afterwards!
the stock took months if not a year to recover, it never saw the 40s again for a long time!
all becuase one guy on the SINA board provided a link to some fake GS report!
