A good analogy. I foresaw the current state of affairs in the 1970's and realized that, without change, the US was headed for a rude awakening. Then along came Reagan and really mucked up the economy with wild, 23.9% annual average increase in the National Debt. They hail him as a great president. He was not, he was a great talker, nothing more. I remember the 10% unemployment he created his 2nd and 3rd years in office. The plunge in the markets. And lived thru it. We own hundreds of thousands of dollars in stocks. But we also have put money in collectibles, land, houses etc. Had a limit order in for 500 more shares of FSC but it didn't go down as I had anticipated. Can't win them all!
