Obama is expected to officially nominate Yellen as the FED this afternoon. It appears that he might become desperate because the news leaked last night and temporarily it did spik the futures. I was thinking about selling my DXD to protect profit but as soon as the market opened this morning, all three indexes had turned from green to RED. Interestingly, NASDAQ tanked the most yesterday and for a while both APPL and QID were both positive, appears that APPL might have lost its magic and failed to push NASDAQ up.
Bought some SLV and GGN earlier and very tempted to grab some AUY also. With Yellen as the FED chair and she is even more dovish than Bernake, QE may never end. Precious metal will have nowhere to go but UP. Even bought a few hybrid REITs, I do not believe there will be any bond tapering for a while and REITs even mREITs will continue to do well.
I agree with you jman, funny how gold/silver respond by dropping today, heh. I just try to buy a bit of PMs each month as free cash allows to take advantage of the situation. I'm confident that at some point the world will wake up to prices many times what today shows.
I also think there are some bargains in REITdom given that QE will never end. NRF is looking nice now that it has pulled back again to the $9 range. ARCP is almost back to 52 week low. I think FFC is priced good at $17.60
