If you're fully (or nearly) invested.....

What are you going to do now? Market is certainly strong, almost unbelievably. Feels good does it to walk around slapping yourself on the back for your brilliance. Thank the FED.

But what to do next? Will this rise continue next week, or will we be down 3...4...5% a week from now. Most of us could go to 100% cash and put a pretty good year in the books. Be careful. This has been a little too easy. Easy come, easy go?

Everyone have a good weekend, but think about the gains you have this year and if you'd be willing to give a bunch of them back to Mr. Market.

    Just some food for thought.

    • I wasn't even thinking about FSC when I posted this message. I was referring to the general market.

    • As long as you are young enough and have a long-term investment goal and strategy, no matter how the market will perform in short-term, in long term, a smart investor will still be duly rewarded. For some of us baby boomers, the consequences of any vital investment mistakes can be fatal. Using FSC as an example, if you buy it at its current price, even if it drops ten percent, if you hold it for more than one year, the outcome will not be any worse than putting your money in your banks or hiding them under your mattress. I believe if for any reasons FSC drops below $10, it will be a good buying opportunity. I simply could not see how it can drop 10% like Slick predicted even if it reduces its dividends. I do not believe it will, yet.

      • I think the distribution will have to drop by more than a penny for FSC to drop 10% or more. If distribution drops by a penny, I think FSC will settle in to trading around NAV or maybe a touch below it. I think the market is already pricing in the distribution decrease which is why FSC can't gain much momentum these days. It's fallen 5% and will fall another 5% to $9.60 or so if the distribution decrease comes to be true. Just my 2 cents worth of guessing. I'm hanging onto my shares.

    • As long as the economy continues to sputter and new economic negatives like the Obamacare mess ... I see the FED continuing to squeeze the money pump and this market drifting higher.

      Sentiment: Buy
