the same billion spent on education would create 26,000 jobs and Americans could benefit from better education and job training.
the same billion spent on healthcare would create 17000 jobs and again, that is something all Americans would benefit from. Why not hire people to make more medical technology such as MRIs and cat scan machines instead of the V-22 osprey or the f-35 that will cost $700 million per plane over its life.
and when MORE jobs are created that way compared to defense jobs, that means MORE people have money to buy the things that others produce and so MORE demand and MORE jobs are created for the same money. .
