this morning. I couldn't resist nibbling with a 4.8% dividend and a stellar balance sheet - not to mention I think Hawaii real estate and the state economy in general does better than most states. All these law suits aren't really an issue with their underwriting standards and Europe exposure is probably zero-ish. I also own JPM/WFC/USB. Ouch so far, but these banks should do well going forward. At least much better than Citi and BAC.
Bought more today at 36 3/4. I suspect BOH is processing all the refinancing applications it can handle right now and making good money doing it! The best buys are always seen while the market is in panic mode. Close to a 5% dividend with this bank is almost too good to be true. Stocks can always go lower, but they're selling off the baby (BOH) with the bath water.
