any store owners out there using Rentrak? How do you find it and do think it's a good tool or can you actualy run your business on it. I have heard so many times that people say they would go broke if they keep using it. Is this true? Any opinions out there?

    • I am a store owner. I feel that I would probably be unable to compete with the large chains (Blockbuster, etc.) without
Rentrak. You still have to manage your inventory carefully. However if you make a mistake and order too many copies of a movie your
mistakes are not as costly. You need to understand that when you purchase movies, rather than lease them, for rental they cost $65 -
$80 per copy, sometimes higher. At that price idle enventory really hurts. It seems a balance of owned movies and leased movies
makes the most sense and Rentrak.
I have been with Rentrak for nine years. Most store owners who say they could not make it with Rentrak never used it and probably are no longer in business without it!

    • Ask anyone at Hollywood Vide how they like Rentrak. Why do you think Disney has decided to go 100$ revenue sharing.
